About me
Hi, I'm Keelin...
My name is Keelin Nielsen Donohoe and I live in County Wicklow in Ireland. Outside of my work with clients, you can find me in the forest, swimming in the sea, going on lots of adventures and spending time with my loved ones. Living with Fibromyalgia for as long as I did, I greatly appreciate the freedom to live my life as I choose, and I love to celebrate it!
My work...
I’m a MindBody Reconnect Practitioner with four years of experience supporting clients experiencing chronic symptoms and conditions, to create meaningful shifts in their health, wellbeing and lives.
My own journey into this work began after recovering from Fibromyalgia through MindBody Reconnect therapy with my own practitioner. Experiencing first-hand the profound impact that reconnecting with our authentic emotions and learning to truly meet our needs can have on our health inspired me to train with Clare Caldwell, founder of the MindBody Reconnect. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of supporting clients across the world experiencing Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), Fibromyalgia, Long Covid, Burnout, Anxiety, Chronic pain, IBS and other mindbody-related conditions or symptoms.
My approach is, at its core, deeply compassionate and person-centred. I don’t believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach to healing because every person’s experiences, emotions and life circumstances are unique. The MindBody Reconnect provides an incredible toolkit to truly understand the root of symptoms, but the discovery lies in the conversations we have together- exploring how these tools work for you, connecting to who you are and how you would like to authentically navigate and approach the situations in your life. For this reason, I work exclusively 1-1 with my clients.
Over the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of working with so many different people, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community (of which I am a proud member), neurodivergent clients, people from a wide range of cultural and religious backgrounds, parents, and most particularly many mums with neurodivergent children. Creating a space where people feel genuinely safe, and free to be themselves is deeply important to me, and in of itself something that many clients report finding incredibly impactful and healing.
A key part of this work is supporting clients in noticing the patterns that are impacting them or keeping them stuck- not just people-pleasing, perfectionism, suppression and chronic stress, but also the pressure that can arise around healing itself. So often, people begin striving to recover, putting enormous pressure on themselves to get better quickly or perfectly. Together, we gently notice these patterns as they arise and begin cultivating a much more compassionate, sustainable way forward.
I’m passionate about translating nervous system science and MindBody Reconnect principles into practical, accessible tools that clients can use in everyday life. Rather than overwhelming people with theory, I support them in understand what their body may be communicating and how they can respond in ways that create meaningful, lasting change. Ultimately, my work is about helping people reconnect with themselves, build trust and confidence in their bodies, and create lives that feel joyful, authentic, connected and full of possibility.
Alongside my current practice, I am currently completing a professional coaching qualification with Kingstown College, which has already become a wonderful addition to the way I support clients.
Increasingly, I find myself curious about how we can prevent chronic stress and illness before they develop. I’m interested in supporting people to navigate work-life balance, parenthood, relationships, life transitions, embracing their neurodivergence and creating fulfillment in ways that feel sustainable, compassionate, joyful and authentic. While my current work focuses on supporting people in creating change after they begin experiencing chronic symptoms, I see this preventative part becoming a natural extension of the work I love in the future.
My Own Journey to Recovery
After years of unexplained illness, I became housebound and I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. It was a relief to finally have a name for it. But the idea of being at the mercy of something that would come and go at random was very scary.
I began researching and training in different modalities in the hope that I could take control of my health again.
After a few years housebound, trying many different things, I came across the MindBody Reconnect. I saw results within a few weeks, and I had my health back within a few months. Finally I had found something that could explain to me how and why my symptoms had occurred. MBR also taught me how to prevent them from happening in the future. And all without giving up any of the good things in life, or worrying about ‘overdoing it’! Thanks to MBR, I don’t have Fibromyalgia. And just as importantly, I don’t have to live with the fear of having it again in the future.
In the interview below, I share the recovery journey I went on in more detail.
